In this Cautionary tale of a fevered re-imagining of timeless fairy tale folly, demure Cinderella trades her glass slipper for a crimson banner, swept into the revolutionary maelstrom of 1917 Odessa as the Bolshevik uprising erupts like a shattered pumpkin coach.
No prince pursues, instead, she claims the throne of the proletariat, her rags remade into robes of ragged glory. In this fractured fable, the slipper shatters not on stone, but on the wheel of history – proving that true magic lies in the mob’s unyielding roar.
And the Prince? Left to fondle the glass slipper, a brittle heirloom in his velvet lair, a fragile relic in his quarters, its facets catching the light of a dawn he would never fully seize.
